This will be an unsupported race. All participants will be required to manage their own nutrition and water supplies during the race. Participants are able to compete individually or in relay teams. Refreshments and small snack will be provided at the finish.
Event Schedule:
4:00 p.m. - Watercraft drop off opens - Lake Cowdry Boat Landing (856 E Lake Cowdry rd. Alexandria MN 56308). Participants' watercraft will be monitored by race volunteers until race start.
4:00 p.m. - Transition area/equipment drop off opens - Lake Brophy Beach (4521 Brophy ln, Alexandria, MN 56308)
5:30 p.m. - mandatory race meeting will be held at the bike and run transition area. All participants are expected to organize their own ride back to the paddle start. (Lake Cowdry Boat Landing)

Course Details
Paddle: 3.0 miles: ridewithgps.com/trips/190554101
Paddlers will paddle against the current through five small lakes and three culverts which will decrease your paddling efficiency. Participants are welcome to use canoes, kayaks and paddle boards. The race will start with paddlers in their watercraft. A map of the paddle course will be provided in race packets for navigation. Paddle will end at Lake Brophy beach where racers will transition to their bikes. Paddlers paddling canoes or tandem kayaks will finish the paddles with the same times and will begin an individual time on the bike. Participants will be emailed the paddle route 1 week prior to the event.

Riders will be able to use any bike they desire except assisted or e-bikes. The course will leave Lake Brophy beach transition area. On a 1 mile tar and 10.5 mile gravel ride through wooded and well protected stretches as well as open prairie segments leaving riders exposed to winds. The final miles will have the most elevation gain. Riders will be e-mailed que cards 1 week prior to the event. Cards can be printed and used during the race by riders to navigate the bike route, with distances, road numbers and turn directions for navigation.

Runners will leave the Lake Brophy beach transition area and begin running a combination of mt. bike trails and grass trails with extreme elevation change. Trails will be spray painted white at turns.
